Rally Report
This rally was a return visit to Buckinghamshire but in a different area so that Bryan and Betty Wales could make a visit to the Bletchley Park site which they missed due to ill health last year.
We found a very nice site at Little Horwood where we had the field to ourselves. It was a bit of a small holding with various animals including a couple of happy pigs and three llamas.
Having set up ourselves on the Thursday, two more outfits arrived on the Thursday, which completed our little band. Stan and Kay joined us from South Wales.

Friday dawned dry but chilly and we set off together to visit the De Havilland aviation museum which we all found interesting.
This is the oldest aviation museum in the country and is dedicated to the De Havilland aircraft including restoration.
We had to stray into Hertfordshire to see this but it was an enjoyable trip.
The evening was taken up with a visit to the local pub for a pleasant meal, although we weren’t that impressed.
Saturday was market day in Winslow so we went for a wander and then on to take a trip on a steam train at the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway. The ride took us through the magnificent Chiltern hills, giving us super views as we sat back and took it all in. We were even given a hot cross bun and a coffee each as we travelled.
Titan had his own ticket so was entitled to a seat
Sunday dawned and we thought we’d like to go to Blenheim Palace, being an historic house, home of the great Sir Winston. However when we arrived the world and his wife were there, it being Easter Sunday, with a special Victorian Fair in the grounds and hundreds of cars. The cost was prohibitive too, which is fine as you can return all year, but not for us from so far away. Undaunted we kept going and went to visit the Timber mill which used to serve the estate, this was very interesting and we had a guided tour just the six of us where we were able to get up close and personal with all the exhibits.
Following that, suckers for punishment, we went to a nearby Oxford Bus Museum, Witney, and this also turned out to be very interesting, giving us an opportunity to ride in an old double decker bus.
Titan was especially thrilled to go on the top deck. We were able to get a cup of tea which went down very well. A great Morris car and bike museum was also on site and Bernard was pleased to see a Morris Oxford like he has owned in his time. Very reasonable entry prices too which all helps.
There seems to be a theme here, we often find ourselves looking back to years ago.
Monday we took a leisurely walk round some of the canal at Milton Keynes, the sun was shining and we found a lovely place to have lunch sitting outside, trust us to find an eatery. On the way back we were able to go into a narrow boat which was on the market and it was fascinating to see how all mod cons were fitted in. We none of us were too tempted though we were grateful for the chance to see it.
Stan and Kay had to return home on Tuesday, but Bryan, Betty and ourselves took a visit to the Bletchley Park site, where we were still able to spend the whole day, even though Bernard and I have been three times before. They have added new exhibits and now there are quite a lot of interactive coding puzzles.
We both headed off home on the Wednesday having enjoyed another great rally
