After 2 years since the last Polar gathering in the pony field, it was great to welcome the select few, Bernard, Helen, Bryan and Betty
This number were boosted on Friday evening by Charlie, Vicky, Duncan and Georgette, for a balmy summer evening round the camp fire, eating ,drinking and catching up.
On Saturday we all set off for Nuffield Place T Nuffield in Oxfordshire.
One of the smaller National Trust properties it gave a fascinating insight of life in the 1930s.
Lord and Lady Nuffield made their fortune in the car industry.
They bought and renovated the house with all mod cons of the time.
They had no children and left the house to Nuffield College, who eventually handed it on to the NT.
Lovely sunny day able to sit out for
lunch and enjoy the gardens
Sunday saw the Rally winding up with lunch at the Fox, and a gentle stroll by the lakeside back to camp.
The planned boat trip on Olton on the Kennet and Avon was next.
This had to be curtailed as the water level was low and the boat stuck on the bottom.
So we had a cup of tea instead!.
Good to see everyone!
