We arrived at the site Wednesday and welcomed Bernard and Helen, Bryan and Betty.
On Thursday we had a full day in Portmeirion the Italianate village created by Clough Williams Ellis over many years and where the TV series The Prisoner was made.

The following day we visited Porthmadog and took a narrow gauge steam train to Ffestiniog where a minibus picked us up to go to the Llechwedd slate caverns. The more adventurous
went down the rail incline into the depths of the old workings where we had a guided tour. We then returned by a minibus/steam train back to the campsite. Later wandered across the carpark to the The Rhiw Goch Inn for a drink and a chat.

Saturday we went to Plas Brondanw Gardens the home of Clough Williams Ellis, laid out in such a way there was a different view around each corner with one terrace that framed the summit of Snowdon in the distance.
After a scenic drive back we went for a meal at our local onsite restaurant.

The following morning Betty and Bryan left for home and we went to see the Electric Mountain in Dinorwic taking a bus ride into the caverns to see the hydro turbines and generators housed in a space that is larger than St. Paul's Cathedral.
Wednesday is departure day after a lovely rally in scenic North Wales.
Hope to see you all in 2016
Stan and Kay
