Rally Report
Wednesday - Bernard and Helen arrived late afternoon, settled in and came to the house for a chat and refreshments in the evening.
Thursday - We went to Brecon Mountain Railway 2ft gauge Railway which runs along local reservoirs and into the Brecon Beacons National Park. It was a beautiful day and the scenery was lovely. We returned to the station and had a meal before returning to Swansea.
Friday - Another nice day and we decided to visit Clyne Botanical Gardens in Swansea. Always lovely at this time of year. Afterwards we had a meal at the Woodmans Inn.
Saturday - Went to the privately owned and run Pontardulais Garden Centre which is not far from our base. After a leisurely stroll around we had lunch in the restaurant and returned to the farm as June and John were due. Arrived back to find they had already set up camp. Sunday - Took it easy in the morning and went for Sunday lunch in the Shepherds Country Inn at Felindre. Afterwards we went to a local reservoir and took a walk around then returned for a get together at the house. |
Monday - We went to Aberglasney House and Gardens a medieval house in the Tywi valley run by a registered charity. It is regarded as one of the finest gardens in Wales and well worth a visit. In the evening we went to the White Hart Thatched Inn and Brewery in Llanddarog for a meal in interesting surroundings with artifacts from a bygone age. Tuesday - Was departure day for our friends and we look forward to next year. Stan & Kay More Pictures In The Gallery |
