Chairman’s Thoughts
It’s that time of year again, when our thoughts turn to other things than caravanning.
Christmas is looming and we will soon be getting the decorations out.
Most of next year’s rallies have been sorted but there is still time to add another if anyone wants to do one, or perhaps think forward to 2018, yes 2018, there are still many places to visit with beautiful countryside and visitor attractions.
The rallies this year were still well attended despite there being only a few of us who rally. We do appreciate it that people make the effort to keep these rallies going. It would be nice to see some old faces even if they do not still own a polar caravan. So if we are in your area please pay us a visit.
Last year as many of you will know Helen and I were treated to a trip to Sweden and the Polar factory, sadly no repeat this year, however we did have a visitor from Sweden who attended our rally in Cornwall. We were contacted out of the blue by Johan Persson, who had come across our web site and thought it would be a good idea to visit us. Johan is a freelance writer, writing for the equivalent of Practical Caravan in Sweden. He put the idea of coming to the UK to his editor who gave it her blessing.
We are looking forward to reading his article in due course, who knows what may come out of it!
Well that’s all folks, don’t forget to drain down the water system and clean the caravans before putting them to bed for the winter, oh and here’s wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year!
